Technical Support Engineer/ POSTED DEC 6, 2011

Customer Service is at the heart of what we do. We've built it into every aspect of AeroFS: live chat from within the app, support forums, vote forums, and much more! We are currently looking for passionate technical support engineers that can help us continue providing the type of service we've been priding ourselves on.

Although AeroFS is designed to appear simple, it is actually quite complicated, and so it is important that you are knowledgeable and tech-savvy, with strong knowledge of computer systems. Often you may be solving user issues directly, while other times you will need to be able to escalate the issues to the product team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Must love interacting with people - they are the heart and soul of our company
  • Friendly, likable, and able to emphasize with the problems and frustrations of users
  • Some programming skill is a great asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in the use of at least two of the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Ubuntu Linux

System Engineer/ POSTED DEC 6, 2011

We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented engineer with a high bar for quality and scalability - for us, performance is crucial and errors cost lives (just kidding! maybe.)

We really, really, want you to have deep knowledge of:

  • Highly scalable server architectures
  • Networking and Distributed Systems
  • Databases background is a plus

Additionally, you should have:


  • B.S, M.S, or Ph.D., in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • Expert knowledge of either C++ or Java (Shell scripting and Obj-C are a plus).
  • Familiarity with the UNIX working environment
